CALMA Clinic Encourages Referrals for Spanish-Speaking Children and Families
CALMA (Child and Adolescent Latino Mental Health Assessment and Treatment) is housed at the Seattle Children’s South Clinic in Federal Way and is designed for families who primarily speak Spanish. CALMA offers a wide range of services including diagnostic evaluation, group treatment, medication consultation, and short-term individual therapy for children ages 4 to 18 with anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or other attention issues, challenges in school, depression, concerns about development, and disruptive behavior. Free Online Therapy from DEEL and Talkspace for Seattle Youth
The Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) is partnering with Talkspace to offer free online therapy and mental health support to Seattle residents age 13 to 24. Youth can connect with a Washington-licensed therapist for unlimited messaging therapy and one live virtual session per month, and download the Talkspace Go app for personalized courses that strengthen mental fitness.
