Grow Your Guild – New Member Recruitment Tools

From a “Join our Community” flyer to an inspiring video, we’ve prepared a selection of fun promotional materials to help guilds recruit new members and ensure continued success into the future. This page highlights a few of these tools and ways to support the Guild Association’s goal of welcoming 250 new members to our community in 2025.

Include an Invitation to Join Your Guild in Your Post-Event Thank You

Consider including an invitation to join your guild on your guild’s website and when you send out a thank-you email celebrating your event’s fundraising total and/or a tax receipt to guests. Make sure to note a personal contact so people know who to call or email.

Here is sample wording: “If you are not yet a member of the [GUILD NAME], we’d love for you to join us! By becoming part of our community, you will connect with a passionate, creative and generous family of volunteers dedicated to improving children’s health. To learn more or to become a member, please reach out to us at [insert contact info here].”

Get LinkedIn

Create a post your members can share on LinkedIn. Personalize it with a photo from a recent guild event. Many prospective guild members are looking for ways to increase leadership experience and joining a guild provides valuable opportunities to develop these and other skills.

Share on Social Media 

“Find your People. Live your Purpose.” Urge guild members to invite their social media followers to join a guild. It’s easy to post the “Join Our Community” flyer or sizzle reel with a note about why they love being a guild member. Invite members to share stories about new connections at your next meeting.
