On behalf of Seattle Children’s, we’re pleased to share our 2023 annual report to recognize milestones and achievements with you, our most dedicated supporters.
It is noteworthy how, together, we continue to advance pediatric health with the same strength and resolve that has defined this institution since 1907. One year before Anna Clise established Seattle Children’s, her cousin, John Herr Musser, offered her some words of advice:
There’s nothing so important to be done as service to children. Find out what is not being done that is necessary and worthy, and do that.
Today, Seattle Children’s is defined by a generous community and talented workforce who share the same passion to do whatever it takes in the relentless pursuit of more hope, exceptional care and new cures.
The philanthropic support Seattle Children’s received last year — totaling more than $139 million — made a profound impact. Your generosity made it possible to care for children through 396,710 patient visits and 3,283 new patients enrolled in research trials. Your collective giving helped us face a record demand for behavioral and mental health services; Seattle Children’s is often the only place of hope for children and youth in crisis. We also saw a 36% increase in the need for uncompensated care. Thanks to you, we were there to respond to these urgent challenges.
We are looking forward to continued energy and momentum fueled by a spirit of care and discovery. Each and every act of giving inspires all of us at Seattle Children’s to continue reaching new milestones.
Please accept our profound gratitude for your continued support to provide hope, care and cures to all children, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
On behalf of Seattle Children’s, thank you for your commitment to children and families.

“We were very fortunate to have a positive outcome for our daughter Carmen — and in going through that experience, we learned about the research and care that’s happening at Seattle Children’s. We wanted to provide philanthropic support so other families could enjoy results like ours. We want every family to get the best possible care for the situation they are in.”
— Steve Conforti, Children’s Circle of Care member, on what inspires his family to give to Seattle Children’s
“In 1985 my nephew Matthew was born prematurely and lived the entirety of his 18-month life in a children's hospital in Ohio. I started volunteering at Seattle Children’s to feel connected to my family and what they were going through while also helping other babies and families going through similar situations. I found out about the Adeline Coffman Guild from friends several years after moving to Chehalis, and decided to join the guild in 2016 to stay connected with Seattle Children's.”

Thank you for helping every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible – today, tomorrow and always.
