"I completed categorical fellowship and a 4th year in advanced imaging in Pediatric Cardiology at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago before arriving at Seattle Children's Hospital. While interested in all areas of imaging, I have been especially focused on cardiac MRI and procedural echocardiography, including 3D imaging. My research has centered on assessing for early changes in myocardial structure/function in Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy using cardiac MRI and leveraging procedural echocardiography to reduce infant exposure to radiation/contrast during transcatheter pulmonary valvuloplasty. I also have a special interest in medical education and completed the McGaw Medical Education Clinical Scholars program while in Chicago to enhance my clinical teaching skills. In addition to my work in non-invasive imaging, I spend time taking care of inpatients at our main campus and see general cardiology and fetal patients at our Bellevue site."

    Have used cardiac MRI to assess for early changes in right ventricular function associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and utilized echocardiography to reduce radiation/contrast exposure during pulmonary valvuloplasty in the catheterization lab
