    Dr. Monique Burton grew up in Seattle, WA and graduated from Garfield High School. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania where she was a collegiate gymnast. She attended medical school at Temple University, followed by a residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Oakland and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at UCLA.

    Dr. Burton is a sports medicine physician at Seattle Children's Odessa Brown Children's Clinic. She is the medical director of the Sports Medicine Program at Seattle Children's. She served as the Chair of USA Track and Field Sports Medicine and Science Committee from 2013 - 2024 and has been a USATF volunteer team physician since 2005 including the 2008, 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games. She is Chair of American Medical Society for Sports Medicine DEI Subcommittee and a Board member for King County Play Equity Coalition and School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA).

    Dr. Burton enjoys all aspects of physical activity, movement, sports and exercise medical care. She believes in a holistic collaborative approach to care and enjoys working together with her patients to create an individualized plan so they may reach their own unique physical activity, sports, and wellness goals. 

    Outside of work, Dr. Burton loves spending time with her two daughters. She also enjoys partner acrobatics, yoga and exploring other hobbies.
