"Surgery can be perceived as a very stressful experience for both the patient and family regardless of the type of surgery. One of my greatest interests and joys of working with the pediatric surgical population is being instrumental in alleviating this stress by listening, teaching, and being present with the patient and family. I love the opportunity of working in the Surgery Center, partnering with the patients and families, discovering their unique needs while explaining the pre-operative plan, procedure, and post-operative course."
