  • Biography

    Alicia Tieder, MSW, LICSW, associate vice president and chief health equity officer, leads multiple teams, including the Center for Diversity and Health Equity; Workforce Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access; Learning; and Patient and Family Education. Her teams are responsible for insights, strategy and implementation for achieving Seattle Children’s vision of being a world leader in achieving health equity, workforce diversity, and inclusion, and improving health outcomes for all children through an equity and anti-racism framework. Alicia provides leadership to the organization on ways to implement, study and develop programs more equitably. She champions culturally-fluent, community-responsive, and family-centered patient care and research and encourages identifying and eliminating inequities while actively addressing priorities named by workforce members, patients, families and community members through active outreach. Alicia manages Seattle Children’s Health Equity and Anti-Racism Council, which holds Seattle Children’s accountable to the commitment of being an anti-racist, inclusive and equitable organization.
